In addition to lesson planning, my interests include:
*Travel - I have visited Argentina (twice!), Brazil, Croatia, Italy, Uruguay, 14 states in the U.S., and 3 provinces of Canada. I love to explore the natural and cultural wonders in each distinct place. This summer, I hope to visit South or Central America once again - I am deciding between Peru and Costa Rica.
*Cooking and Baking - My love for food preparation probably stems from my love for food consumption. I especially enjoy baking.
*Singing - In college, I was a member of the Heinz Chapel Choir, an all a-capella group. The Heinz Chapel Choir Holiday Concert is a winter tradition for many families in the Pittsburgh area and is broadcast live on the radio and online. In my second year in the choir, we went on tour in South America.
*Walking - I love to explore cities and nature, and what better way than on foot! I usually try to walk between 3 and 6 miles a day, year round!
*Learning languages - my love for teaching Spanish no doubt stems from my passion for learning languages. Though I would only consider myself proficient in Spanish (and English, of course!), I have also taken classes in French, Italian and Brazilian Portuguese.
